Full-Time IT Desktop Admin
Administer, optimize and support internal LAN/WAN infrastructure consisting of Windows 2008 R2 Active Directory spanning across the US, China and South East Asia Region
Focus on and responsible for troubleshooting support to include; network, server, and workstation problem resolutions and support for upgrades and patches.
Monitor security of all technology, including network account passwords and maintenance of IP addresses.
Monitoring, reporting and troubleshooting of all assigned equipment, systems, applications, and all associated systems.
Performs preventative maintenance and manage problem resolution and upgrades.
Manage relational database software including MS SQL, Oracle and MySQL.
Analyze and diagnose connectivity and functionality problems relating to a wide variety of complex hardware and software issues.
Enhance remote access through installation of and configuration of VPN, Remote Desktop and LiveMeeting
Support SharePoint Intranet & External site for a secure document collaboration area.
Provide 24/7 troubleshooting support and resolution to critical production support applications, network server and workstation problems.
Manage routers, switches and support field devices.
Develop training materials and procedures to train users in the proper use of hardware and software and instruction for system users on operating systems, relational databases, and other applications; assist users in maximizing use of networks and computing systems to ensure consistency in all office locations.
Conduct various training as required on supported systems, equipment, and applications.
Vendor management: Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer and consultant contracts and service agreements.
Provide customer and personal service to end user in multiple locations. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Work remotely with Singapore and China Development Center team to solve and/or anticipate all IT related issue.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
MCITP /MCSE 2008 Enterprise Administrator Certification
CCNA/CCNP Certification a plus
Candidate must possess at least a Higher Secondary/Pre-U/”A” Level, Professional Certificate, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
Required skill(s): VPN, Sharepoint, MS SQL Server, LAN, WAN, Oracle.
Required language(s): English
At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably Non-Executives specializing in IT/Computer – Network/System/Database Admin or equivalent.
Experience in support Microsoft Windows Server, Windows 7/8, and Microsoft Office Application.
A wide understanding and technical knowledge in TCP/IP networking is a MUST.
Experience in support Linux environment is preferable
Experience in support/administer application web server e.g. SharePoint/IIS, Apache is preferable.
Experience with IT policy development and implantation
Experience with Microsoft technologies in a multi-site environment including AD/Exchange server replication
Experience with Service-now or other ITIL products a plus
Working experience with SAP ERP and PLM is a plus.
Experience with storage environments is a plus.
Experience with configuration management systems a plus.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Positive attitude and user support oriented
Ability to take ownership of projects and follow through to completion and yet be able to work as part of a team
A sense of urgency in getting the job done. May need to work extra hours and weekends when needed
